The FJHRA/HSCC 'Silverline' Historic Formula Junior UK Championship
The 'Silverline' Historic Formula Junior UK Championship will return once more to provide a taste of 1960s single-seater racing.
Formula Junior originally ran between 1958 to 1963 and by 1961 it had become the feeder formula direct into Formula One.
Future World Champions Jim Clark, John Surtees, Denny Hulme and Jochen Rindt were amongst the many who progressed that way.
And it was not only the drivers, but the designs: from the ladder framed front-engined mini-Maserati F1-like cars of 1958, through the front and then rear-engined space frames, to the first monocoque, the Lotus 27 in 1963, Formula Junior represented the whole design evolution in its six brilliant years.
As in previous years, the race at Castle Combe is the penultimate round of the 'Silverline' UK Historic Formula Junior Championship.
